St Johns CYO About Us

St Johns CYO Mission

CYO sports is a non-denominational component of St John Nepomucene’s comprehensive youth program which enables the partnership of parents, coaches, priest and adult leaders to manage and support a sports program that allows our youth to grow physically and emotionally within the community. St. John's CYO youth sports programs have been serving the community for over 20 years. Although we want the children to develop their skills in whatever program they choose, the most important aspect of our program is for all participants to have FUN!

This program:
  • Employs healthy and enjoyable competition to promote the sharing of good social values among athletes, parents, coaches and spectators.
  • Assists community leadership in developing the emotional, social and physical needs of young people.
  •  Encourages young people to appreciate the gifts that they possess, and challenges them to share these gifts with their community.
  • Encourages youth to become responsible members of the community.
  • A number of programs are offered:
    • Intramural Soccer for Spring and Fall programs for boys and girls from kindergarten through high school
    • Intramural Basketball Fall program for boys and girls starting with the 3rd grade
    • Travel Basketball Winter program for both boys and girls
    • Girl's Track, "Golden Girls", Spring and Fall programs for girls 1st through 8th grades
